In the arms of pearl and sterling silver,
The lovely daughter seems to entrance.
Held like an arrow into its quiver
The mother turns down every advance.
While the fire of youth and love burn bright,
The mother dose not let her daughter go.
The mother understands that love can bite
But the daughter chases every Romeo.

Even though they battle with ice and fire
The fight always ends in a stalemate
Both understand the power of desire
And the problems it can exacerbate.

Despite the differences they both transpire
Both are contrasting flames in the same fire.
